White Church Preservation Fund

Fundraising events at The White Church have generated more than $300,000 over the past fifteen years.  Eve Queler’s annual Bel Canto Opera Concert has been the gem in the crown of our fundraising efforts and The White Church has been completely restored. 

The White Church would not be in beautiful condition today without the efforts of many community volunteers and Ann Southworth’s dedicated leadership.  All monies from fundraising events go to the Preservation Fund and are used for general maintenance and operations of The White Church.  In 2007 we have initiated an Endowment Fund campaign that is described below.

The White Church Endowment Fund

The White Church of Blandford is now in mint condition but we know that maintaining the building and the grounds in perpetuity will require substantial funding.  Many communities have lost their historic meeting houses and churches to private ownership or demolition but with strong leadership and community volunteers our church has survived and is available for everyone to use.  It is now owned by the Historical Society of Blandford and is a beautiful setting for weddings, concerts and other special events during the summer months.

Financial support can be given in several forms: mail us a check; make a pledge of support over a period of time; donate appreciated securities; and/or leave a bequest in your will.  Our endowment goal is to raise $500,000 and to use only the income generated from this money for maintaining the church. 
None of the Endowment Fund will be spent on administrative costs.  The Fund will be operated under the corporate umbrella of the Blandford Historical Society which has a tax-exempt status so that
all gifts are tax deductible.
